Extended Day Programs

LEDP

Shadyside Boys & Girls Club

Shadyside Boys & Girls Club

LEDP (Liberty Extended Day Program) is a before- and after-school program that operates on-site at Liberty, providing a safe, creative, and stimulating environment for our children. A nonprofit organization formed in 1986, LEDP is run by a volunteer board of directors, which is comprised of LEDP parents. The program provides a healthy snack for the after-school children and access to the breakfast program in the morning. LEDP offers small group activities, outdoor play, gym time, arts/crafts, fun and games, science, creative play, a reading area, and special programming events. There is a separate homework area where children can quietly complete their assignments, and staff members are available for assistance. Talented and nurturing staff nourish the children's social-emotional development, provide continuous opportunities to learn life-long skills, and foster a true sense of community for all children and families.

Child Care Assistance

Child Care Information Services (CCIS) is a child care assistance program that will help you afford quality child care by paying some of your child care costs. CCIS will look at your income, employment/student status, and child care needs and determine whether you are eligible for financial assistance.

The Allegheny County CCIS office is located at 305 Wood St., 3rd Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Hours of operation care Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Call today to find out if you are eligible for child care benefits through CCIS! 412-255-1462.

Liberty's on-site extended day program, LEDP, gladly accepts CCIS. You will be charged a copay (which is determined by CCIS), and the remainder of your tuition will be paid by CCIS. When signing up for LEDP through CCIS. For more information, contact LEDP:  412-529-8543,   libertyextendeddayprogram@gmail.com
