LEDP (Liberty Extended Day Program) is a before- and after-school program that operates on-site at Liberty, providing a safe, creative, and stimulating environment for our children. A nonprofit organization formed in 1986, LEDP is run by a volunteer board of directors, which is comprised of LEDP parents. The program provides a healthy snack for the after-school children and access to the breakfast program in the morning. LEDP offers small group activities, outdoor play, gym time, arts/crafts, fun and games, science, creative play, a reading area, and special programming events. There is a separate homework area where children can quietly complete their assignments, and staff members are available for assistance. Talented and nurturing staff nourish the children's social-emotional development, provide continuous opportunities to learn life-long skills, and foster a true sense of community for all children and families.
The Summer Dreamers Academy is a no-cost, premier summer learning camp that offers high-quality academic lessons in English-Language Arts and Mathematics and exciting and engaging enrichment activities to current Pittsburgh Public Schools students who have completed grades K-8.
